terminology changes
So I finally started rules editing. Changing the game's terminology is a grey area between editing for clarity and simplicity and changing the semantics, so I thought I'd write up some proposed changes so I could get some discussion from the group and get the Word of Snowdrop on the subject. http://...

Re: "Product features"?
Also, a product is something you push, something you sell, something that comes in a box and you then take it out and consume, so you can go to Wal-Mart and buy more. Open source projects don't produce products, weird as it may sound. From an American English point of view, I wouldn't use the word p...

Re: issue tracker
I just checked out hiveminder, and it seems to be nothing more than a beefed up todo list/issue tracker. Creating an account just for that single purpose seems pointless, so I'd quickly downvote that suggestion. Are you saying that you think issue tracking isn't important enough to merit its own so...

Re: issue tracker
Another two I didn't think of earlier: The wiki can be used as an issue tracker, and so can the forums, it's just a matter of using it as such and sticking to it. No complex rules need to be applied so much as actually making people stick to using it. Hmm . . . the more I think about it, the more I ...

But, the ORC says it's not aimed at players . . . ?snowdrop wrote:Ease of teaching for new players.
Edit: I don't think it matters much in terms of what I'm trying to do, though. These rules are, in their current state, only intended for developers . . .

Re: Some thoughts on the Shadowguild
Okay, thanks for the clarification on what a faction in WT is. For my two suggestions, (mainstream religious organization and the strangers) it's also possible to drop the essential "shadowguildishness" of the fifth faction and they'll work okay. In the former case, imagine some mainstream religion ...
Re: Worries
In our case the site was down a couple of months. I got very demoralized and just lacked the energy to deal with it, after having spent much time already just to see it fail after every attempt. In any case, the site being down wasn't our main problem, nor is it now: It is our pace . Hmm, maybe I c...
