Re: Web game or paperback?
IMHO, it would be a mistake to assume that the paperback and the software version would be "the same". There are just too many things that are different. Software: tracking units HP, user's mana/gold, XP points, % chances to hit/miss ... no problem Paperback: you can't. Or it would be such a pain in...

Let's boil it down to the minimum
Hi, This is about the web version, not paperback. Like others, I think that in order to make "something" out of it, we really have to narrow down the goals and scope of this. Drastically. Otherwise, we won't reach anything, like previously. This means: - dropping multiplayer aspect - dumbing down th...

Web game or paperback?
Hi, strange question, right? Well, they are two totally different things, each having their merits and drawbacks. Despite it may sound unintuitive, I think the paper version would actually be much easier to realize. Printing cards is just so much easier than writing software. Of course, you need bud...

Re: Who is still on board?
You can try snowdrop@wtactics.org, but I don't think he still looks at them.
Count me in, but I'd prefer to take a back seat and act more like a technical adviser. I don't have the leisure to dedicate large amounts of time and effort to it.

Re: Who is still on board?
Hi, I agree with all of you. There has been lots of talk, lots of effort, in every direction. It's fragmented, diversified, but in the end very little came out of it. After many years, it went out of breath without having produced a minimal playable game. Sadly. Since then, it's lacking lead and is ...

Re: Source code
Nope. It's possible to install/run locally but I guess I should write a README ...it's so many years ago that I don't know exactly. Basically it requires ruby and some lib ...I think. Besides of this, I'd be willing to rent a small VPS (for anything, not just this) if the need arises and if there is...

Re: Source code
Oh man... that's all pretty long ago. But this was actually a working prototype, where you could play against someone else. ...well, kind of. Like draw cards from a premade deck into your hand, place them on the table, flip them, and that's about it if I remember right. Of course it was interactive ...

Playtesting tool
Hi,
if some people are interested in playtesting the current rules/cards, I think the following tool might be handy:
http://www.untap.in/
You can make deck with custom cards and play without rules. I tested it once long ago and found it ...not bad.

Who is still on board?
Hi, ...nice to see some activity! I used to come visit the forum once in a while and it looked like a dead fish in the water for almost two years. I just had lost any hope that this project could be revived. However, it's nice to see there are still some people on board and renewed interest. So, who...

Re: Does anyone know what happened to snowdrop?
Nice to see you're still there.
I can clearly relate to you, work and life in general tends to take up so much time and energy by itself that there is not much left at the end of the day.
