Re: Sandscape - WTactics browser game
One important thing to note: Sandscape is designed as a sandbox to play in. No checking for rules. It is just for moving cards around and playing with others over the web. So it can't be used as a competetive platform because you hardly notice if your opponent cheats. This freedom is intentional so ...

Re: New Card type: Kingdom (and some rule changes)
I had some more discussions with snowdrop on this topic. The problem is that the aspect of spatiality is mostly removed by my suggestion, Therefore I propose the following: Whenever a player puts another kingdom into play and he has less or equal kingdom cards than the enemy, he must declare war to ...

Re: Changing mark symbol?
A totally different approach comes to my mind: Mark for an ability: http://imgh.us/sword1.png : Draw a card Attack with side effects: http://imgh.us/sword2.png : Deal 2 damage to any defending unit (which is the same image upside-down) This is just an idea. My icons (which aren't the right size yet ...

Re: Resource System Change
I think we first need to do more playtesting. You mention problems that may occur. We should not waste time on things that may not even be a problem. I suppose the idea behind the imortals is that you want to prevent that a player manages to defeat the entire army of the enemy and then he can just p...

I really like the skull
I supose the bird is a raven?
The banners look more like flags and not banners to me. But maybe more color will help here.

Changing mark symbol?
All mark-symbols remind me too much of the MTG tab symbol. Maybe we can develop a different icon? Something like a glowing orb would be cool, because it implies activation.

Re: Quest cards
Will quest cards have a positive effect for the defender until the enemy has not fulfilled the quest yet? If that's not the case, quest cards will be very unpopular. Deck space is precious and most people will probably pick the quests that are the most difficult to fulfill for most enemies. Quests w...

Re: New Card type: Kingdom (and some rule changes)
Sorry for the late answer. I'm still pretty busy (no, not with Cardscape ;) ) I don't think scope would be any different than it is now. "One ore more kingdoms" takes care of the ambiguity issue. I would be concerned about the level of micromanagement introduced with this mechanic. Agree that scope ...

Re: Infrastructure for binary part of our project
Another option that comes to my mind: Bittorrent In this case the community would mirror the image files and share them. Of course the weakness of this system is that there need to be enough seeders for each file (or at least one seeder that is almost online 24/7). While bittorrent doesn't support V...

Re: Phase order, resource piles, villages
Have you any cards in mind that would benefit from such a rule? As for RP: Creatures can't attack the turn they are put into play. Creatures are placed on unoccupied resource piles of adequate size when they come into play and are "released" the next turn. I'm not very fond of the village idea. It m...
