orc update 16 june 2016
Changed how you win advantages: Earlier it was by having more cards in you x domain pile. As that gives domain building advantages to wheenie decks and scewed the whole game towards people never ever seeing it as viable to put down an expensive creature in the Kingdom. Now you just measure each pla...

Re: Your opinion about the ARC Casting Cost.
To know the cards faction obliged cost the player needs to subtract the loyalty marks from the total cost. E.g. In this case 6 (cost) - 2 (loyalty marks). Once you are used to it that works, however it seems a bit counterintuitive. 1. Why does the need of colorless resources even exist in a game wh...

Re: ARC Playtest Round 2 : a summary
Whenever you play a resource card, you put it face down on a pile/stack, and you take a gem/counter and place it next to the stack. For each faction you have one stack (pile of cards looking like your lib). To use pay 1 resource you place 1 gem on to the stack. So the gems left over are the (mana) ...

Is the versions of cards listed on 'wtactics.westeurope.cloudapp.azure.com' the canonical versions of cards or are the final cards intended to be done with a page layout program (scribus, etc)? Is the interest in having cards rendered for (some) existing print-on-demand systems? TheGameCrafter, Dri...

Re: ARC updates after playtesting
How is this resolved time-wise? When a victory point is being "transferred" from player A to B, which triggers first?: Player A loses the game or player B wins the game? Or do they trigger at the same time? Usually they won't trigger at the same time: One happens when you are attacked, the other wh...

Re: Hand card depletion, a good thing?
draw 0, put down 2 resource cards It seems liberal enough to make it much harder for the designer to actually evaluate how/when the "power curve" develops in an average game. In MtG it's easily done due to restrictive rule of 1 landdrop/turn, so you know that at worst, if all goes as plans, in an a...

Re: Hand card depletion, a good thing?
Hand depletion and having just 0-2 cards per turn in hand is usually a really tedious and boring state of the game in MtG. I'd say it makes almost no sense to actively aim for that in most games. I know it isn't what you are suggesting either, and you may have a point in that there is perhaps too sm...

Re: ARC Playtest Round 1 : a summary
I'll change some cards and fix some errors on them. And organize a second round playtesting aiming at better involvement of the cities, following options were suggested: 1. Putting creatures in play can only be done in a city (not directly in an army), this would also make the 'entrance phase' redu...
