Re: Removing VP from ARC and Improving Cities

Hi David, I wonder if using an icon for the faction would be a good idea. It would shorten the cards, at the cost of making them have a slightly higher learning curve. The factions already have icons, right? I think it would make sense to use the same loyalty marks that appear in the top-right corne...

Re: Three new ARC decks ready for review.

Overall I'm really impressed with the changes that have been made since I last looked at this deck. The art looks good and the mechanics look good. We'll see if that survives playtesting The deck is a combination of ideas by Clemens and me. It's the house of nobles, so a very hard thing to balance....

Re: Rules text style?

Hi Louis EDIT: On number 7, I think italicized is the way to go. It is reminder text, there if wanted/needed, but should be unobstrusive otherwise. Bolding and italicizing the entire definition will make it overpowering to the other card text. Oops, I totally agree, I mistook it for the keyword them...

Re: The Uprising

Hi Louis, I see it's slowly moving to fine tuned phrasing and layouting :-) I do like your current set of selected artworks and the focus on orcs. http://aminduna.arcmage.org/#/decks/ade9be8e-a414-4da9-a97a-e843a40aa2af I've updated the deck to have a larger focus on Orcs. Removed the Goblin King's ...

Re: Three new ARC decks ready for review.

Hi Louis, EDIT: Played a round of Arcmage with myself, using Band of Brothers against Gaian Love for Life. Band of Brothers won, though Gaian Love for Life did pretty well. Ultimately what saved Band of Brothers was the cards Catapult and Trebuchet. Without those direct damage cards, Gaian Love for ...

Re: Three new ARC decks ready for review.

Hi Louis, Thanks for the upfront review. Right off the bat, I don't like the X for city defense points. Cities should have a set amount, adjusted to the power level. For example. if a city had a bunch of really useful tactics abilities, I would give it lower defense points so it is also an easier ta...

Re: Rules text style?

Hi Louis, Yes, we should have this, but we'll not overdo it on the 'rules' for the 'card text rules' LOL. I'll create a wiki page for creating cards with the card database. https://arcmage.org/wiki/index.php?title=Creating_Cards_Guide We should look at the "Love for Life" and the "Uneasy Alliance" d...

Re: The Uprising

Hi, I would love to put the cards into the database but I either don't have an account there or don't remember how to log into it. The login doesn't work and I get an error message telling me to talk to the administrator when I try to sign up. Luckly you are talking to him. I'll see what I can do :...

Re: Development Cards

Hi Louis, This sounds great. I don't think we need a special kind of card. Just enchantments that increase the level with additional things (e.g. add a new level). You could do a number of annoying level-one things to an opponent's city. Sounds fun, Nico This is an idea I had while working in the ya...

Re: The Uprising

Hi Louis, The deck has some interesting features, however I feel that it is very much MTG like. Creating a massive amount of goblin tokens and then push. I was hoping it was taking the 'infiltrate' in the opponents cities to the next level. That said, I believe it has some very very good suggestions...
