ViCE is dead
I probably could have written this in code, but I figured it'd be more visible here. Some of you might know that I started working on ViCE again a few weeks back. To date: - there is a database with cards, decks, players, and games logged in it - there is a server which allows you to search for card...

Re: What's the status of this project?
Well, if it makes you feel better Ravenchild, I think I agreed with you long before you posted :P I think it would make much more sense to not worry about rulesets Then I've not done anything really different than what Tabletop simulator has done. Indeed, without doing something different, I'm would...

Re: What's the status of this project?
ViCE is at a standstill. There is a minimal working ORM and the plugin framework technically works and is documented. What's not done is to actually write the plugins. That said, Over the last few years, I've been moving away from Python for personal projects (as it's my day job) and been messing wi...

Re: What's the status of this project?
@RavenChild - I have not. I Think my other motivation for even keeping ViCE around was the idea of having some form of automation (which, as I recal, snowdrop said he could do without), and b) the open source aspect. @Korric - It's open source. While it is more than likely dead in it's current incar...

Re: What's the status of this project?
@Ravenchild, I'm not sure. If this project were to reboot, I'd think interested parties would need to have a meeting of sorts to figure out what's needed. For instance, while I still have a public repo for ViCE and some unpublished stuff locally, do we really need such a thing when Tabletop Simulato...

Re: What's the status of this project?
Sometimes my memory nudges me that there is this project that I haven't looked at for quite some time... Which now makes me wonder: What is currently needed to bring this project back to live besides people writing stuff in the forum? People writing code.... If that sounded snarky, it was. However,...

Not going to happen. You're the lead for a reason

Re: Mulligan
To be clear, I don't think the original rules ever intended to presume that you could mulligan every turn. Rather, my point was that the were written as such that a person new to TCGs or who otherwise wasn't paying attention might interpret them as such. At any rate, I've updated the github version ...
Mulligan
The current rules state that During each players first turn he/she is allowed to do a Mulligan. I'm wondering if it makes sense to reword this as During the start of a match*, each player is allowed to Mulligan instead? Reasons for wanting to do so: As it stands now, the second player has an advanta...

Re: cards with no abilities
1 - Looks empty 3 - I don't like that the card name is covered partially 4 - I don't like the vertical text. That leaves 2, which I generally like, though I'm not fond of the gap at the bottom between the name banner and the bottom border. The only other option I can think of would be to introduce f...
