Re: Distinct faction abilities: Gaians
Gaian Abilities Regenerate X: When this creature would be put in the graveyard, you may instead put it on an open RP of at least size X. [Mark]: Entangle (Target creature's attack is halved (rounded up) until the attack is resolved.) Ambush: Any creature participating in combat against this unit gai...

Re: Gaian creatures
Yeah, but then there is a small problem. If an equipment/magic... with 0g is played, does it occupy the 0 RP? And would the card not block a RP, which would render your point " Free cards still have an advantage - they don't use any resources moot. A solution would be to let the player have infinit...

Full List of Card Types
I wanted to discuss the card types a little bit. Currently, this is what I understand we have: Creatures - Placed on RPs and then deployed to a front at the end of turn (deploy phase) Artifacts - Not sure how these are placed out. Deployed to a front, I'm assuming. Equipment - Also unsure how these ...

Re: Elvish shaman
Player's don't have HP. They have "influence", where influence is political/military/regional control or whatever suits ones own liking. In MtG however they actually do call the players HP for "Life", and as such, it makes some good sense to "heal" player in MtG. I thought that was the case. Well, ...

Re: Dried algae armor
If this card's cardtype field reads: "Equipment - Armor" then, since two copies of the same card is played, both would have the subtype "Armor". If so, then then there is little (but some) point in playing several copies of this card on a creature. However, the suggested card only has "Equipment" a...

Re: Gaian creatures
My suggestion is not to explicitly exclude/forbid the abilityless 1/1:s. It's to simply see to it that each faction only has a maximum of ONE abilityless 1/1 (if even that, since some factions are more biased towards bigger creatures than others). There seems to be no need at all, logically, to cre...

Re: Gaian creatures
I support it and would only like to add that it should be rephrased and that some without abilities are good. But do you guys mean passive or active abilities? 1/1 no abilities: should cost at least 1g, or we could have a zerg rush with 1-5 creatures into play in one turn, if they are all free. But...

Re: Dried algae armor
Sounds good to me. Question, though. Can a player put multiple equipments of the same name on a creature? I'm just envisioning layers and layers of Algae Armor on one unit. Not necessarily a bad thing for gameplay, but it just requires a little bit more suspension of disbelief.

Re: Green shield
Here's how I would envision the ability text on this card:
Code: Select all
2 : Prevent all damage to target creature. It also gets +1/+0 for this battle. Play when target creature is blocking.

Re: Elvish shaman
We could also use the Heal ability like such:
So that the "Heal" ability heals the player, not a unit. Of course, this only works if we decide to call it
"life" instead of "influence" or whatnot.
Code: Select all
[Mark] : Heal 1 (You gain 1 life point.)
"life" instead of "influence" or whatnot.
