Re: Cookie use to skip intro page?
I think it is a good idea, though I would try to have a way for the user to reach the intro again without having to delete a cookie.

Re: Source code
How come it isn't done then? Why don't all just place their servers in Portu and start hacking/cracking away? Because there are several laws associated with it, some rules to what can and can't be done, and because having the servers here is no enough, e.g.: though I have servers in the USA I'm sti...
Re: License
Just to make it clear, since the project is modified BSD and that is GNU GPL compatible, then you're not infringing on any of the GNU GPL terms. You can combine any work with another that is GNU GPL and your work won't be affected by GNU GPL as long as both licenses are compatible. Problems only ari...

Re: Source code
Aha ...surprising ...so you can't have custom licenses except if you have the consent of the state?! Of course you can have custom licenses, but they need to be legally accepted. A license is nothing more than a contract, and like all contracts needs to be clear and can't conflict with the country'...
Re: License
GNU GPL serves it's purposes and I have to say that I was glad for it's more viral nature not so long ago, it was that very nature that prevented a software I've developed to be closed and abused of. I think WT would have had similar problems with an also recent request to use the art, still, it's o...

Re: Source code
Simply because it's not a legally accepted license, it's not a license at all. In Portugal an author needs to explicitly, using a legally accepted document, grant his permission or else the work and any use of it will be governed by, in this case, computer software laws. These laws actually prevent ...

Re: Blender user in here?
Like anything else it requires work, a lot of work if you have no experience. It took me a all afternoon to create an ugly yellow submarine . If you want to create good looking models and render nice scenes you will need to be very good at using blender and have some artist blood in you

Re: pingofy.me
The idea is nice, though I have some doubts about it working, at least considering my experience in promoting free software here were I live. I feel some of the texts in the from page are way too "marketing" oriented, some don't really reflect the reality I see when introducing GNU Linux to a non te...

Re: Source code
I would suggest a proper license agreement since I, at least, can't use that code with the "license" you chose, and neither is anyone in my country able to legally use it
