Re: Fantasy Europe 1815 ruleset
I suggest you don't put time in coding unless you enjoy it or want to make it an AI and single player et.c: There are already engines out there, some of which run on Linux also, like VASSAL for example, that will let you easily create and mulitplay with anyone. I want to code it myself. If that fai...

Re: Fantasy Europe 1815 ruleset
About your editting mistake: No problem, but I first was very puzzled, because I saw my forum avatar but text not from myself XD Yeah, good idea. I will look on boardgamegeek. And maybe some google research. I will try to implement it as a program when I'm ready with designing. I already have most o...

Re: Fantasy Europe 1815 ruleset
disclaimer I magically frakked up and pressed the "edit" instead of reply button to Peters post. Sorry, Peter, don't know how to recreate it. Instead I managed to re-write the whole thing with my reply, as follows. /snowdrop * Well, I somehow are fascinated by the idea to create a card strategy gam...

Re: Hearthstone and Magic
In what way did the number of factions, alone, make Hearthstone less exciting? I don't follow (even if I happen to agree that they're two very different games and prefer the one). The magic system, which easy to understand colour "style" (like white = defense, justice, weenies) makes it more clear ...

Hearthstone and Magic
Some random talk about TCGs/CCGs: 1.) I tested Hearthstone a bit. But with its 9 classes it is by far not as exciting as Magic the Gathering with its 5 colours. It's fun, though. 2.) I got hold of some Magic cards and I must say, Magic's art is great. Unfortunately "Magic Duels" doesn't work for on ...

Re: Fantasy Europe 1815 ruleset
I'll stick to WTactics ccg for now. As WTactics has come so far by now, I would be surprised and maybe even upset if you would NOT focus on WT! I mean, you have a database, 2 decks (1 ready, 1 nearly), graphics, goodlooking printouts, a raw playing interface and what not else...! :) BTW don't forge...

Fantasy Europe 1815 ruleset
OK, it's just an idea: I had the idea of a TCG ruleset similar to a battle strategy game. The deck would contain troops, mines, Generals/Heroes, weapons and more. The genre/time could be 1815 with Fantasy elements. Troops types would be infantry, cavalry, artillery and heavy war machinery. No navy. ...

Re: ARC Playtest Round 3 : a summary
Maybe we make rules for 4 cities for 40-60 min and give the players the option to play with just 2 cities so it takes only 20-30 min.

Re: ARC Playtest Round 3 : a summary
I occasionally play Rummikub and Pachisi. Both 15-40 min games (normally 20-25 min). So I play these games. And Monopoly takes 2 hours or so. So I don't play it (despite the fact that I actually love it). Similar with "Alhambra", a board game. So a 20-30 min game I would play; an hour-long game I wo...
