A creature with this enchantment gains a +0/-1 counter everytime it declares an attack or uses an activated ability. When this enchantment is removed, remove all counters gained by this ability.

That's kind of the point. If there wasn't a penalty for DEF <= 0, this card would be completly useless since you could just continue to use abilities.

Of course, now that you say that, I'm considering if an absoulte disable (can't do anything) wouldn't be better if you reach DEF <= 0 because of this card's effect.
