Text figures: Open font?

Anyone knows of an open or at least free to use in whatever font that supports text figures and looks good?

I can't speak for 'looks good', but a quick search turned up libertine:

There can't be any, as 'text figures' and 'good-looking' exclude each other. It's notoriously hard to make good designs with those.

I hate linux libertine's '2' with passion. Pretentious. Numbers are not what snowdrops wanted, maybe one could enable text figures somehow, but it isn't like so by default.

This font may be of some help - it isn't "nice", though it's really steampunkish:

or take a look at the bottom line here:

Native chars look odd, but I guess it might be not the case for you.

SIL OFL for the end-user is all-allowing, not sure about modding the font and later re-distribution.

Lnowing what the numbers will have to look good with would make the search more fruity.
I'm the filthy bastard you wish you never met.

One of my favorite fonts which inlcude text figures is with a doubt is 'Goudy Bookletter 1911' available from the league of movable type. http://www.theleagueofmoveabletype.com/ ... etter-1911
