Hey Peter,
Haven't tested untap.in yet, so can't help you there.
Btw, you're the first to create a deck on the demo db.
Are you an empire adept? Any chance you'd be willing to make the empire's svg templates?
I'd imagine something gold white-ish.
We have
gaian - green brown ish
dark legion - dark purple ish
red banner - red ish (dough)
house of nobels - blue ish
empire - gold white ish (suggestion)
factionless - gray ish (suggestion)
Kind regards,
Nico

Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
I really suck at painting/drawing.
If you do it, it would be less work for you than if you have to explain to me what to do. At last I guess so.
If you don't think so, I'll be willing to try it.

Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
Hi Peter,
Well, creating svg images is always an painfull and difficult task. That goes for any design, drawing in any tool, with any skillset.
Some are more artistic then others, I guess, but for the templates it comes down to biting through the inkscape learning curve
So definitely not less work for me, as for you. Haven't recolored any of the templates yet,
just cleaned them and made them work with the generation tool.
Kind regards,
Nico

Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
Hi all,
Just a small update.
Card creation:
- I've re-enabled the png-creation on the card generation tool, although it's delayed and in the background. After 2 a 3 mins the png download link should be available near the svg download link.
Decks creation:
- Some progress there as well, you can create a deck add/remove cards and generate a deck pdf.
- only cards that have their png's already generated will show up in the pdf. It's also limited to max 75 cards.
So with that up and running, we have no excuses left to not make the rule set and the first two decks.
Kind regards,
Nico

Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
I have an idea: Make the deck and play before the complete rules!ngoeminne wrote:

The cards will be pretty self-explanatory, so automatically many rule-questions are solved. If still a rule question arises, we could use Magic rules until Snowdrop is ready with the rules. For example we could allow 4 pieces of the same card like Magic, or the turn-phases could be like in Magic.
We would get a new feeling whether the rules are good by doing this.
Kind regards and happy coding
Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
Hey xarn,
Setup should be more or less straight forward on a dev machine running win7+ 64x
- install inkscape 0.91 on the default location
- enable iis on your machine
- checkout https://github.com/ngoeminne/wtactics/
- copy \libraries\librsvg64x to the inkscape install dir
- open WTactics.sln in Visual Studio 2013 (or above) & Run
It should create two databases, one for the cards, one for hangfire (job scheduling)
using iis.
Kind regards,
Nico
Done, it's available herexarn wrote: - make it available on github, so it's easier for us to contribute!

Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
I'm in the process of reinstalling the operating system so give me some time to install Inkscape and test it. More about that later.
Kind regards and happy coding
Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
OK. I got Inkscape working now, and it can handle SVG files.
I'm not running Windows (or iis or Visual Studio), instead I'm running Linux.
I have no clue where/how to get the card template.

Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
I did a quickie for you: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2xfwh8l7s3v6 ... tc26a?dl=0 ..dig and you will find, the template SVG:s are there.Peter wrote:I have no clue where/how to get the card template.
Re: Demo : new card database and generation tool
I "extracted" the template and tried to "edit" it, but argh, this is beyond my drawing skills. For instance the border lines are not just an mono-colour line but rather have a colour gradient! Sorry to say, but I can't do that.
I'll rather stick to playtesting and maybe inventing some more cards when I have played WT a bit.
