WTactics is clearly setup so that different groups of developers can work on their own rulesets as desired. Is it intended that all these rulesets will share a core set of cards (maybe with some additional ones for each branch)?
Thanks.

We are open here. You are allowed to both: fork rules and make new cards as well. Even now the card templates, even if it is work in progress, are in our code tree. However - when working on your own cards it will be harder for you than on the rules alone (gaining artwork, distributing cards, making online gaming possible and so on will be on your head, at least for some longer time).

Second what Q_x wrote and would like to add: No, it's not intended that the cards we currently create work with as many other completely rule sets as possible. Meaning, we're creating cards for one specific rule set in mind called "the original rules concept". It will be easy to create variants and formats of that and still be able to use all the cards we're creating, but, it's not our goal to create generic CCG cards comparable to the cards you'd find in a normal deck of cards (King, Queen, 3 of spades etc).irrevenant wrote:WTactics is clearly setup so that different groups of developers can work on their own rulesets as desired. That said, we give all material - templates, card art etc and our online resources, like forum (could open new subforum etc if needed) to anyone interested in developing brand new rules and cards that work with those rules, given it all keeps our license (GPL2 or later) intact.
It is totally up to each developer/team to decide on which rules to work, why and how. This far however we've all gathered around the ORC.

I know this isn't in direct answer to your question, but I put together a wiki page (http://chaosrealm.net/wtactics/wiki/ind ... _Newcomers) with links to all the most important documents you should read to get acquainted with WTactics.
