Idea Queue

NOTE: This area of the wiki is currently deprecated for card suggestions. Please post them using Cardscape.


Feel free to write crude as well as very detailed suggestions for new cards in here - the card Idea Queue. Make sure you adhere to the following simple rules:

  • Don't post any copyrighted material: Be the creator of whatever you post.
  • Only post if you're registered at the Wiki.
  • Use your wiki-nick as card creator.
  • Newest ideas should be posted at the top, making the older ones go further down in the queue.
  • By submitting anything in here you put it under the same license [1] as the rest of the game (GPL2 and later and GPL3). Once submitted you can't "take it back" or demand that we don't use it in a specific way.

Tower shield (Equipment)

Cost: 3 File:3 Gold.png

Text: If the unit carrying Tower shield suffers an attack that would normally kill it, the Tower shield is 'destroyed' instead.

Notes: This is maybe best suited to the Empire faction?

Ephemeral Peace (Spell)

Cost: 5 File:5 Gold.png

Text: No units (including the casters) may attack until the caster's next turn.

Share the load (Spell)

Cost: 3 File:3 Gold.png

Text: The player may take all damage dealt to his creatures this turn and reallocate it amongst his Gaian creatures as desired.

Elven steed (Equipment)

Text: A creature with an elven steed can defend against attacks originating from either front.

Neighbourly aid (Event)

Cost: 5 File:5 Gold.png

Text: For the duration of the current player's turn, you can use creatures of any player (except the attacker) to block attacks. The blocking creatures must be in the same front.

Notes: Obviously not a card worth putting in your deck for 1-on-1 matches!

All are brothers (Event)

Text: All cards that refer to a specific faction apply to all factions until the end of the current turn. eg. a +0/+2 to all allied Gaian units applies to all allied units.

Mission of Peace (Quest)

Cost: 0 File:0 Gold.png

Text: At the end of the round, if none of your creatures have attacked place a quest counter on ~. otherwise remove a counter.

As long as there are 3 or more counters on ~, you may "commit" ~ to remove a creature from combat.

Notes: Not 100% on this one, need to think about it some more.

Sprout from Matter

Text: Target artefact or equipment that costs x or less gold is shuffled into it's owners deck. Put a Sprout token creature with 1/2 into play under your control.

Notes: None.

Text: Target creature speeds into target opponent, does half of it total attack and exits before receiving damage.

Text: Play after defenders are chosen. Treat a blocked unit as if it were not blocked. The former blockers may not block other units this turn.

Developers Evaluation

  • Only developers are allowed to edit anything in this section, so unless you're officially on the dev team then please only edit the above section (Idea Queue).
  • All card ideas from the above are moved down here sooner or later by a developer.
  • The idea should be posted in it's original form, as well as any thoughts, revisions and/or conclusions suggested by the developer.
  • Nickname of whoever reviews an idea must be included.
    • All ideas that are deemed to have potential with some kind of revisions should be placed under Need Revision.
    • Ideas that won't be saved by anything short of a total remake are Rejected.
    • All passed cards are put in the playtest pool. This doesn't guarantee that a card will be created - for it to happen a) somebody must pay for it's art and b) it must pass playtesting.

Need revision

  • Cards that have potential can be put into this queue by a developer.
  • Once in here they are up for discussion in the forum, where the dev. should explain what needs tweaking.
    • While everyone is welcome to participate in the discussion it's most important that the cards creator includes him/herself in it.
    • If the thread doesn't result in a constructive discussion within 4 weeks a dev. is allowed to close it.
    • Ongoing discussions that are constructive according to the developers/moderators may not be shut down.

Invasion (Quest)

Cost: 0 File:0 Gold.png

Text: At the end of the turn, if you control more creatures than your opponent put a quest counter on ~, otherwise remove a counter. When there are 6 or more quest counters on ~, you win the game.

Notes: Another Quest idea - values will probably change.

Acts of Valour (Quest)

Cost: 0 File:0 Gold.png

Text: Whenever a creature you control defeats another creature in combat, place a quest counter on ~. When there are 3 or more quest counters on ~, send it to Oblivion and add 4 gold to your coffers.

Notes: This is a preliminary pitch for Quest card idea - I will probably follow the theme of counters and will add more in the next few days as they come to me.
